SF86 Question 27

I am considering applying for a position that requires a TS/SCI clearance, with polygraph. The process begins with filling out SF86. I have a question regarding Question 27 of that form. Do I need to answer ‘yes’ for any of the parts if the following have occurred in the last seven years?

  • Visits to adult websites, using an anonymizing proxy server application (Tor)
  • Download of copyrighted material.
  • Potential End User License Agreement violations of commercial websites, by not giving my correct name or address when signing up for a service the website provides. This was done to avoid getting on the particular site’s contact list.

These may seem far beneath the intended scope of the Questionnaire, but as this will be my first clearance process of any type, I am unsure as to what to expect.

Thank you in advance for any replies.
