Survey of Measures and Reforms to Protect Classified Information in Congress
June 2006: The Congressional Research Service released a survey of measures employed to protect classified information in Congress. The report includes information on security clearance requirements of elected officials and staff on Capitol Hill. Proposed reforms are addressed, including expanding the categories and numbers of persons requiring clearance and requiring financial disclosure and polygraph exams of those granted clearance.
