Whistleblower Bill Extends Protections for Cleared Feds
The U.S. Senate has passed S. 274, the Federal Employee Protection of Disclosure Act, which ClearedCommunity.com first reported on here in July.
The measure extends protections for Federal employees who make lawful disclosures. An Office of Special Counsel and the Merit Systems Protection Board would have jurisdiction to hear cases brought by employees who allege that they were subjected to adverse, retributive security clearances actions. A copy of the final bill should be accessible here.
Government Executive reported on the bill here.
