Are Hastened Investigations Impacting Thoroughness?
July 11, 2006: An article in Government Executive magazine reports that Federal government security clearance processors face challenges in completing clearance investigations by mandated deadlines. One complaint is that the quality of initial investigations suffers. Time allowed for investigations may not permit use of “dangles” to test a person’s trustworthiness. See also here.
