ODNI to Assist Arab-Americans, Others with Clearance Process

Ronald Sanders, Associate Director of National Intelligence for Human Capital, reportedly plans to help Arab, Chinese, and other ethnic Americans “manage the security clearance process” in order to bring into the Intelligence Community more people with a native understanding of foreign cultures and languages.

One Egyptian-American working at the National Counterterrorism Center said:

The security clearance process is horrible. I have seen many great, amazing people just give up on working in the Intelligence Community because it is such an arduous, bureaucratic mess that often sees suspicion where it shouldn’t.
