Top Secret-Cleared Interns Staff FBI's DC Office

According to a Washington media report, the FBI has processed top secret-level clearances for some dozen area high school interns at its Washington field office.

Students seem intrigued by their six-week stint at the Bureau, which claims the program has “worked,” though at what is not clear. But with top secret clearances reported elsewhere to cost tens of thousands of dollars to process, it remains to be seen whether this program is cost-effective.
